When we went "wedding shopping" in January, 2015, we were lucky to stumble upon this small hotel. Nestled down a side street, away from the hubub of St Julians bay area, The Argento has everything you need for a clean, modern, comfortable stay - without breaking the bank! It may not be on the coast or have incredible views from the bedroom windows, but it does have an awesome buffet breakfast and roof top pool with stunning views all over the North East of the island. The hotel is also only a very short stroll into the heart of St Julians and is a 2 minute walk from the main bus stop where you can get busses which take you all over the island.  

The Argento rate is approximately 115 Euros/£79 per night for a twin or double room.

The Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian's, Malta

If you are feeling like a bit of a treat, the Radisson Blu in St Julians should not dissapoint! When we visited Malta in January 2015, the hotel was in the middle of a major refurbishment, but the architect visualisations of the finished article looked fantastic so we took the gamble! The hotel has several swimming pools and extensive facilities, as well as being close to the sandy St George Bay for those who like a dip in the sea.

This is the hotel we chose to host our wedding reception. Why? Because it is located in the most northern secluded tip of St Julians (around a 15 minute stroll away from the town centre) and on a private headland surrounded by the clear blue sea. The reception party will take place at "The Edge" - an outdoor venue - on the evening of the 12th June. Following the wedding, Rob and I shall be staying at the Radisson Blu for 2 nights before heading off on our honeymoon! (Bridesmaids - this is where we will be getting ready on the day of the wedding!)

This 5* hotel is a little more expensive than our other recommendation. Room rates vary, depending on the size and outlook you choose. An example nightly rate is 214 Euros (approximately £150).

NB: There are 2 Radisson Blu Hotels in Malta - be careful you do not book at Golden Sands by accident! (It is a long way from the wedding!)

It is difficult for us to recommend other hotels as we have not had the pleasure of staying in them, but there are many other hotels in St Julians and in neighbouring towns that we are sure will also be great options.

As long as you are there to celebrate with us on our special day, we don't mind where you stay!
