Saturday 11th June: Pre-wedding Lunch & Historic City Walkabout

For those joining us for a pre-wedding lunch in Mdina, Malta's silent city, meet at The Bacchus Restaurant at 13:00 hrs on Saturday 11th June. This will be a great opportunity for guests to meet each other before the wedding day and enjoy some of Malta's finest cuisine and tasty wine, followed by a wander around the cobbled streets of this enchanting city.

Where: Bacchus Restaurant, 1 Inguanez Alley Mdina, (Rabat), Malta.

(We will be seated in the secret garden area).

Please make your own way there and meet us at the restaurant. It is very easy to find as there is only one way in & out of this historic walled city! As you enter the city gates, take the first left (at the Mdina glass shop) onto Inguanez Triq. Keep walking down the narrow street ahead & Bacchus is down the first alley on your left.

We will be catching the No.202 bus from St Julians to Mdina (Rabat Interchange) at 11:23 hrs. If you'd like to come with us, feel free to meet us in the reception of the Argento Hotel at 11:00 hrs. Or to make a day of it, we recommend you get an earlier bus and explore some of the city before we eat. (See: https://www.publictransport.com.mt/en/route/202 for bus times - there is a bus every 23 minutes past the hour). The bus takes approximately 50 minutes and is a great way to see the Maltese countryside. Mdina is a very short walk from the Rabat Interchange bus station. (No busses actually go into Mdina as no vehicles are allowed within the walled city.) A one day bus ticket costs €2.60. For those wanting a shorter, faster route, a taxi from St Julians takes approximately 20 minutes, costing around €20.00.

You will have already paid for the three course lunch - just bring some cash for drinks.
